Privacy policy

Coastal Sage Landscape, Inc. operates coastalsagelandscape.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with other contractors.

What we collect

Two things, and only two.

• Information you give us. When you submit the estimate form or email us, we receive your name, phone number, email address, the city your property is in, the service you are interested in, and anything you write in the message field.
• Basic analytics. Standard web analytics: pages visited, how you arrived, approximate region, and device type. This is aggregated and is not used to identify you individually.

We do not ask for and do not want financial account details, social security numbers or any other sensitive personal information through this website.

Why we collect it

• To respond to your enquiry and prepare an estimate
• To schedule and carry out work you have asked us to do
• To send occasional service reminders if you are an existing maintenance customer
• To understand which parts of this website are useful so we can improve them

Who we share it with

We share your information with service providers that operate this website and our business systems: our hosting provider, our email provider, and our customer records system. They are permitted to use it only to provide that service to us.

We do not sell personal information, and we have not sold or shared personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising in the preceding twelve months. We will disclose information if legally required to do so.

Advertising and measurement

We run search and social advertising. Those platforms may set cookies to measure whether an advert led to an enquiry. You can opt out of personalised advertising through your Google Ads settings and through the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out tools, and most browsers let you block or delete cookies entirely. Blocking them will not stop this site from working.

Text messages

If you give us your mobile number, we may text you about scheduling. Reply STOP to any message to opt out of texts and we will call or email instead. Message and data rates may apply.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted after twenty-four months. Customer records are retained for as long as we have a contractual or tax obligation to keep them, which under California law is generally at least four years after the work is completed.

Your rights in California

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request a copy of it, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted. You have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, although as stated above, we do neither. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

Children

This site is intended for adults arranging work on a property. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under sixteen.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be noted here for at least ninety days.
